Emirati investments in Egypt exceed AED 26.5bn

UAE – Mubasher: The Emirati investments in Egypt have exceeded AED 26.5 billion ($7.2 billion), secretary-general of the UAE International Investors Council, Jamal Saif Al Jarwan, stated on Wednesday, according to the Emirates News Agency.

Al Jarwan’a announcement came during the inaugural session of a conference addressing trade and investment prospects between the UAE and Egypt held in Dubai.

"Egypt is at the forefront of Arab countries attracting Emirati investments at the present time, thanks to the paradigm changes introduced into its investment environment and the incentive packages launched by the Egyptian government," Al Jarwan said.

The top official referred to the great successes achieved by Emirati companies in Egypt, including Emaar, Etisalat, Majid Al Futtaim, and DP World.

"Over the recent years, the Egyptian government has demonstrated great seriousness and efficiency in attracting FDIs," Al Jarwan noted.
