Emirates signs cooperation agreement with Egypt to develop government work

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, witnessed the signing of an agreement between the UAE and Egypt for cooperation in the development of government work.

Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Future and Chairman of the World Government Summit, stressed that the UAE government is keen to implement the directives of the leadership to strengthen the cooperation and historical relations between the UAE and the Egypt.

This came during the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Dr Hala Al Saeed, Egypt’s Minister of Planning, Follow-up and Administrative Reform, as part of the sixth World Government Summit, which was held from February 11 - 13.

"This cooperation is a new step in the distinguished relations between the two countries. It translates their common vision on the importance of developing government work to serve the society through innovation and effective cooperation," Al Gergawi said.

He added that the World Government Summit has established the UAE as a center for international cooperation in various fields, based on the vision and guidance of the leadership to strengthen the summit’s position as a platform for international partnerships that brings together governments, private sector leaders and scientific and academic institutions to build a better future.

The MoU aims to strengthen cooperation between the UAE and Egypt, to share common experiences and knowledge in governance, and develop government work and services.
