Emirates plans to restore 70% of capacity by year-end

UAE - Mubasher: Emirates is planning to resume 70% of its capacity by the end of the year amid the continued easing of travel restrictions across the world.

Emirates' A380 aircraft will serve 27 destinations by the end of November, up by over 65% from its current 16, according to a press release on Monday.

The airline, which currently provides services to more than 120 cities representing 90% of its pre-pandemic network, will also launch a new route to Istanbul on 1 October to mark as the first A380 operation in Turkey.

The plan to restore 70% of the company's capacity comes as Dubai is preparing for hosting Expo 2020 Dubai from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022.
