Emirates opens $3.6m dedicated lounge at Cairo Int’l Airport

Dubai – Mubasher: Emirates has unveiled its new $3.6 million dedicated lounge at Cairo International Airport (CAI), which is opened for Emirates First Class and Business Class customers, along with Skywards’ Platinum and Gold members.

The new facility will provide Emirates’ customers with high levels of comfort, hospitality, and convenience, the Dubai-based carrier said in a statement.

“Cairo is our first destination in North Africa with an Emirates Lounge – and it underscores our relentless efforts to enhance the travel experience that we offer to customers on the ground,” divisional senior vice president – Emirates Airport Services, Mohammed Mattar, commented.

Situated on 880 square metres, the Lounge has a capacity of 152 seats and offers customers with various luxurious facilities and amenities including LED TVs, comfortable leather armchairs, and separate male and female prayer rooms, Emirates revealed.

“We congratulate Emirates on the opening of their new lounge in Cairo, and see this as enhancing the travel experience for both leisure and business travellers,” chairman of the Egyptian Tourism Authority Ahmed Youssef said.

Emirates operates three daily flights connect Cairo and Dubai with Boeing 777 aircraft.
