Eid Al Adha to push Ras Al Khaimah’s hotel occupancy over 80%

Dubai – Mubasher:  The Eid Al Adha holiday is expected to increase Ras Al Khaimah’s hotel occupancy rates to more than 80% over the long weekend celebrations, the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) said.

The emirate, which is only 45 minutes away from Dubai International Airport, offers its visitors exceptional value for money packages during Eid Al Adha holiday, along with experiencing nature-based activities and adrenaline packed adventures, according to a statement on Sunday.

“We expect to continue seeing a rise in the occupancy rates of the Emirate’s hotels during this long weekend, especially for those looking for exceptional value for money hotel stays, luxury indulgence, as well as experiential adventure attractions such as horse-riding and archery in the Wadi desert,” Haitham Mattar, CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, commented.

It’s worth noting that Ras Al Khaimah witnessed a robust growth in its overall visitor numbers during the first half of 2018, with a significant advancement in its adventure tourism offering and a 14% hike in international visitors, the statement showed.

The UAE Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has announced a week-long Eid Al Adha holiday for ministries, and federal departments in the GCC country.

The Eid holiday starts on Sunday, 19 August, and ends Thursday, 23 August, according to Emirates News Agency (WAM).
