Egyptians’ remittances in UAE grow 12.7% in 3M

Cairo – Mubasher: Egyptians’ remittances from the UAE increased by 12.67% to AED 2.4 billion (EGP 11.71 billion) in the second quarter of 2018, compared to AED 2.13 billion (EGP 10.39 billion) in the first quarter. 

Total remittances in the UAE recorded AED 87.9 billion in the first six months of 2018 and AED 44.4 billion from April to the end of June, Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported, citing data released by the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE).

Meanwhile, remittances from Egyptians working in the UAE made up 5.4% of the total remittances from the GCC country in Q2-18.
