Egyptian engineers and technicians to undergo a nuclear training in Moscow

Egypt's Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Dr. Mohamed Shaker said that his ministry has agreed with the Russian side to train 1700 Egyptian engineers and technicians for nuclear reactors technology in Moscow in preparation for working at the Egyptian nuclear reactor in Dabaa, which was contracted with the Russian President Vladimir Putin.
During a phone-in segment with “Markets and Business” program broadcast on On Live channel, shaker stated that under an agreement with some Egyptian state-run universities, the ministry of electricity is working to teach nuclear energy courses as graduates will work at Egyptian nuclear facilities.
He pointed out that operating costs of the nuclear reactor after being built will be very low and do not require substantial investments.
