Egyptian-Moroccan Business Forum kicks off Tuesday

The Egyptian-Moroccan Businessmen Association, and the Foundation for the Sons of Morocco for Development in Egypt, launched Tuesday, Oct. 30, the Egyptian-Moroccan Business Forum.

The association pointed out that the forum aims to formulate a clear vision and access specific programs and mechanisms to establish a true partnership between the private sectors of both countries.

It clarified that the forum's aim will maximize the benefits of trade agreements and geographical advantages, turning them into projects and opportunities that serve the objectives of development and achieve the interests of both peoples.

"Through the forum, we seek to create jobs and overcome the challenges that stand in the way of increased joint investment and trade exchange," the association added.

A board member of the Egyptian-Moroccan Businessmen Association, Osama Geneidy, said earlier that trade exchange between Egypt and Morocco stands at $700 million, $400 million of which are Egypt’s exports.

He added that the association organized two trade missions to Morocco, holding meetings with Moroccan businessmen and signing a protocol agreement with Morocco’s Trade and Industry Chamber.
