Egyptian Exchange’s indices plunge on Tuesday; market cap reaches EGP 1.8trn

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange’s (EGX) indices dropped on Tuesday, with the EGX30 main index plunged 4.86% to close at 26,777.05 points.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI also plummeted by 5.06% at 6,213.97 points.

Similarly, the EGX100 EWI tumbled by 5.03% to 8,817.36 points.

The turnover reached EGP 3.68 billion after 846.20 million shares were traded.

Meanwhile, the market cap value totalled EGP 1.81 trillion at the end of the session.

As for trading on securities, the foreign and Arab traders were the net buyers with EGP 135.30 million and EGP 14.25 million, respectively.

On the other hand, the Egyptian investors were the net sellers with EGP 149.56 million.
