Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt will pay off the entire dues owed to foreign oil companies within two years.
The North African nation owed foreign oil companies around $2.4 billion at the end of June 2017, Egyptian minister Tarek El-Molla said in an interview on CBC TV.
In January, finance minister Amr El Garhy said that Egypt had paid $200 million in arrears owed to the international oil and gas producers in January, and was planning to pay another $550 million in February and March.
