Egypt to set up $750m phosphoric acid complex

Cairo – Mubasher: The petroleum ministry has signed an engineering consultancy contract to establish a complex for phosphoric acid production in Abu Tartor, New Valley governorate.

The project is currently being implemented with up to $750 million in investments, with a production capacity of about million tonnes of phosphoric acid per annum, the ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

The contract was signed by chairman of Al Wadi for Phosphate Industries Company Khalid Al-Ghazali Harb, chairperson of Engineering for the Petroleum & Process Industries (ENPPI) Mohamed Hathout, and the director of Fluor Corporation MENA John Simon Artega.
