Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s textile exports increased by 9% year-on-year in the first six months of 2018, recording $522 million, the Egyptian Textile Export Council (ETEC) stated on Tuesday.
The increase in the country’s textile exports reached its peak during June, registering 33%, the ETEC added.
The textile sector account for 3% of Egypt’s gross domestic product (GDP) and the value of textile exports amounts to $2.6 billion annually or 15% of the North Africa country’s non-oil exports.
