Egypt’s stock market declines on Monday

Cairo – Mubasher: The EGX30 benchmark index of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) decreased by 3.59% to close Monday’s session at 8,685.74 points.

The EGX50 EWI also declined by 3.46% to 1,563.97 points.

Similarly, both the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI as well as EGX100 EWI closed the session down by 2.57% to 1,655.76 points and 2.89% to 2,435.59 points, respectively.

EGX’s trading value totalled EGP 639.50 million after 500.32 million shares were exchanged. The market cap value reached EGP 593.23 billion.

As for trading on securities, Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 44.82 million and EGP 1.42 million, respectively, while the foreign traders were net sellers with EGP 46.24 million.
