Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s strategic reserves of basic commodities are within the safe limits, above the international levels, the Chairman of the Holding Company for Food Industries, Ahmed Hassanein, told the Middle East News Agency (MENA).
The strategic reserve of vegetable oils is sufficient for four months, while the sugar and rice reserves are enough for seven and three months, respectively, he added.
In addition, the most populous Arab nation’s poultry reserves are estimated to last for the end of the first half (H1) of 2021, whereas meat reserves will be sufficient for more than a year.
