Egypt’s housing ministry allocates EGP 805m to Sheikh Zayed’s expansions

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s housing ministry, represented by the New Urban Communities Authority, has allocated about EGP 805 million to new roads, utilities, and expansion projects in Sheikh Zayed City during the fiscal year 2019/2020.

The projects include EGP 55 million development of Central Axis Road; EGP 600 million constructions of water, sewage, and irrigations networks and roads on 400 feddans in the western expansions; and EGP 150 million constructions of water, sewage, and irrigations networks and roads on 150 feddans in the eastern expansions.

The plan also includes EGP 80 million unities and roads projects to be executed by the end of January 2020; EGP 270 million projects to be executed by the end of June 2020; and EGP 455 million projects set for completion after 2020.

Situated on 23,250 feddans, Sheikh Zayed City is projected to house 2.13 million people.
