Egypt Today: Egypt’s engineering exports experienced robust growth during the first eleven months of 2025, increasing by approximately 13.9 percent to reach $5.93 billion by the end of November, compared to $5.20 billion during the same period last year.
Exports saw a significant surge in November, with an annual growth rate of 35.4 percent, reaching around $621.3 million, up from $458.5 million in the same month of the previous year, according to a statement from the Engineering Export Council of Egypt.
The growth was largely driven by strong exports in several key sectors, led by machinery and equipment, which grew by 25 percent. Electrical and electronic industries followed at 24 percent, automotive components at 22 percent, transportation equipment at 13 percent, and home appliances at 12 percent, said Sherif El-Sayad, Chairman of the Council.
El-Sayad highlighted that this growth reflects the increasing diversification of Egypt’s engineering production base and its growing competitiveness.
He also emphasized the importance of attracting further investments, as they directly contribute to stronger engineering export revenues.
In addition, Egypt’s engineering exports saw notable increases in several international markets, particularly in Europe, Arab countries, Asia, and Africa, as well as the United States.
This, El-Sayad added, highlights the success of ongoing efforts to diversify export destinations and enhance the global presence of Egyptian engineering products.
