Egypt’s crude oil output rises to 657,000 bpd

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s crude oil production increased by 4.3% to 657,000 barrels per day (bpd) this year, said head of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) Abed Ezz El-Regal.

The North African nation's crude oil stood at 630,000 bpd in 2017, Reuters reported, citing Ezz El-RegaL as saying. 

This came on the sidelines of the 9th Mediterranean Offshore Conference and Exhibition held in Alexandria, Egypt.

The Egyptian petroleum ministry had previously said it was aiming to boost the country’s crude oil production by 10,000 bpd to reach a total of 661,000 bpd by the end of March 2018.
