Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s core CPI increased by 0.65% month-on-month in May, compared with an increase of 0.23% m-o-m in April, according to the Central Bank of Egypt.
Meanwhile, the annual rate increased to 8.14% in May from 7.19% in April.
Headline CPI published by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics on 10 June inched up by 1.19% m-o-n in May 2015 compared with 0.11% m-o-m in April.
The annual rate increased to 13.11% in May from 19.96% in April, partially on the back of unfavorable base effect from the previous year.
