Egypt’s Tatweer Misr join forces for Bloomfields’ 1st American International Branch Campus

Egypt’s property developer; Tatweer Misr has signed signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with two American universities to establish the first American International Branch Campus (IBC) of its kind in Bloomfields project in Mostakbal City, New Cairo.

The two universities are New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) and Ocean County College (OCC). Tatweer Misr is the main developer of Bloomfields.

This comes as a part of a lineup of agreements with internationally acclaimed universities and schools, spreading across a 90-acre educational district in Bloomfields.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with both NJIT and OCC; both institutions’ main ethos is focused on employing innovative methods of learning,” Tatweer Misr’s chief executive and managing director Ahmed Shalaby said on Tuesday.

Joel Bloom, President of NJIT, announced that Tatweer Misr is enabling NJIT, a highly-ranked global polytechnic university that has had significant success in educating diverse populations of college students with the knowledge and skills that are in great demand by engineering, science and technology-based industries.

“New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) has transformed the lives of its students through preparation for professional success.”  Jon Larson, President of OCC said, adding: “This partnership marks a milestone to ensure a smooth transition for our students and will allow them to engage with people and places from all over the region. The opportunities are limitless.”
