Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s first ever communication satellite TIBA-1 will be launched on 22 November by Arianespace, the cabinet said in a statement on Tuesday.
The satellite will be launched on an Ariane 5 rocket from Kourou in French Guiana, located in South America, the statement showed.
TIBA-1, set to remain in service for over 15 years, will provide coverage for Egypt, some countries in North Africa, and the Nile Basin countries.
The Egyptian government will manage and control TIBA-1 upon its launch.
