Egypt reopens airspace to Qatari flights

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt has opened its airspace with Qatar after a three-year embargo against flights from the GCC nation.

Following the decision, EgyptAir and Qatar Airways as well as other private air carriers can resume flights between the two countries, the Head of the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority, Ashraf Noweir, said in a statement on Tuesday.

Last week, Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sameh Shoukry, signed Al Ula agreement, announced by the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to end a long-running dispute with Qatar.
