Egypt receives 2m doses of Pfizer vaccine

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt received 1.842 million additional doses of Pfizer vaccine against coronavirus (COVID-19) on Saturday, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Health and Population, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, announced.

The jabs were sent under Gavi COVAX AMC, which ensures access to COVID-19 vaccines for low- and middle-income economies.

The new shipment is part of Egypt's plan to diversify and expand the shots for all citizens.

It is noteworthy to mention that last week, three million doses of Pfizer vaccine were sent to Egypt from the US as part of the COVAX facility.
