Egypt invests EGP 1.5bn in upgrading electricity network in Aswan in seven years

Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy invested EGP 1.5 billion in upgrading the electricity infrastructure in Aswan from July 2014 until April 2021.

A total of EGP 705.6 million has been invested in replacement and expansion works in the governorate, while an amount of EGP 783.4 million has been directed to the establishment of third-party projects, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mohamed Shaker said in a statement on Monday.

Moreover, the Upper Egypt Electricity Distribution Company supervised the electricity connection project in Toskha for the reclamation of 40,000 feddans.

These investments led to improving the services provided to customers and ensuring a stable supply of electricity.
