Cairo - Mubasher: The Minister of Environment, Yasmine Fouad, and Governor of Fayoum, Ahmed El-Ansary, inaugurated the first-of-its-kind waste-to-energy plant in Egypt, using gasification technology.
The project is aimed at converting solid and agricultural waste into bio-fertilisers and fuel, according to a statement on Tuesday.
The plant has a capacity to process 2.5 tonnes per day with an output capacity of 100 kilowatt hours (kWh).
