Egypt implements 281 agricultural projects at EGP 26bn cost in 6 yrs

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt has implemented 281 agricultural projects in six years at a cost of more than EGP 26 billion, the country’s minister of agriculture and land reclamation El-Sayed El-Kosayer said.

One of the main horizontal expansion projects is the northern and central Sinai development project which benefits from various water resources, El-Kosayer added, according to state-run TV. 

About 9.6 million cubic metres of water per day will be pumped into northern and central Sinai to plant from 550,000 to 60,000 feddans.

This came during the inauguration of several major projects by the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi via video-conference, including the Capital International Airport, Sphinx International Airport, East Cairo’s roads, and the renovated Baron Empain Palace.
