Egypt exports $8bn commodities to Arab world in FY17

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s commodity exports to the Arab world valued at $7.99 billion in 2017, according to a report by the Arab Investment & Export Credit Guarantee.

The UAE topped Egypt’s export destinations in 2017 with commodities valued at $2.38 billion, the report revealed.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia came in the second spot with Egyptian exports valued at $1.49 billion, followed by Lebanon with exports valued at $590.96 million, the report added.

Data also showed that Jordan came in the fourth place with exports worth $425.79 million, followed by Sudan, Algeria, and Morocco with Egyptian commodities valued at $374.07 million, $359.79 million, and $347.75 million, respectively.

Moreover, Tunisia was ranked the eighth in the list with exports worth $329.2 million, followed by Kuwait and Qatar with exports valued at $322.22 million and $257.06 million.
