Cairo – Mubasher: Egyptian authorities seized 2,000 tons of sugar stocks at Edita Food Industries' Beni Suef factory, said Hani Berzi, chairman and managing director.
"Annually, production capacity reaches 140,000 tons, while the company needs 34,000 tons", Berzi told CBC channel, assuring that this amount is authorized by the Industrial Development Authority.
He further clarified that this amount was legally purchased from an authorized distributor and meets production requirements for three weeks only.
