Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has issued treasury bills (T-bills) at an aggregated value of EGP 60 billion through two auctions on Thursday, 7 March 2024.
Each tranche amounted to EGP 30 billion, while the duration periods varied, according to official data.
One of the two offerings holds an 182-day tenor until 10 September 2024, while the second issue will mature in 364 days on 12 March 2025.
Earlier this week, the CBE auctioned T-bills at a total value of EGP 50 billion over two equal tranches as well.
