Egypt aims to increase food exports to Kuwait to $130m

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Commercial Service (ECS) is planning to increase the country’s food exports to Kuwait to $120-130 million from the current $84 million, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported on Wednesday, citing Ahmed Zaki, a senior official at the ECS, as saying.

Egypt landed the eight position among other food exporters to Kuwait that imports about $2.5 billion worth of food products, Zaki added.

Saudi Arabia ranked first due to its proximity to Kuwait, he pointed out.

On a side note, the senior official said that the ECS is working on lifting the three-year Iraqi ban on Egypt’s dairy exports.
