Egypt Free Shops reports 101% standalone profit hike in Q1-21/22

Cairo – Mubasher: The standalone net profits of Egypt Free Shops jumped by 101.2% year-on-year (YoY) to EGP 46.38 million in the first quarter (Q1) of fiscal year (FY) 2021/2022, compared to EGP 23.05 million. 

The revenues surged to EGP 234.74 million in the July-September period from EGP 143.27 million in the same period in 2020, the company said in a bourse disclosure on Tuesday. 

In FY20/21, Egypt Free Shops reported consolidated net profits of EGP 132.2 million, up from EGP 108.9 million a year earlier, including minority shareholders' rights. 

As for standalone business, the net profits rose to EGP 131.26 million in the year ended 30 June, compared to EGP 108.87 million in FY19/20.
