Cairo – Mubasher: Trade exchange between Egypt and the European Union (EU) reached $26.20 billion in 2017, Egyptian minister of Agriculture and land reclamation said.
European investments in the most populous Arab country stood at nearly $15.1 billion, state-run news agency MENA reported, citing Ezz El Din Abu Steit.
He stressed that the EU is Egypt’s top partner in terms of exports and imports.
Egyptian trade and industry minister Amr Nassar previously stated that bilateral trade between Egypt and the EU recorded $13.4 billion during the first six months of 2018.
