Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt Aluminum on Sunday reported a 59% year-on-year increase in profits for the fiscal year 2017/2018.
Net profit totalled EGP 2.7 billion in the 12-month period ended June, compared to EGP 1.7 billion in FY16/17, the company said in a filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).
Sales surged to EGP 13.5 billion in FY17/18, from EGP 9.9 billion in the previous fiscal year.
The financial indicators of Egypt Aluminum showed a 108% year-on-year hike in profits for the nine-month period ended March.
Net profit stood at EGP 1.86 billion in the July-March period of FY17/18, compared to EGP 894.017 million in the prior-year period.
