Cairo - Mubasher: Edita Food Industries has purchased a new bakery production line with an investment cost of EGP 135 million.
The new production line "will be housed at Edita's E07 facility with operations set to begin by February 2022," according to a bourse disclosure on Monday.
The new line will add an annual capacity of 11,000 tonnes, representing a 20% capacity increase for the segment.
During the first quarter (Q1) of 2021, Edita Food Industries achieved net profits of EGP 102.5 million, up from EGP 83.06 million in Q1-20, including minority shareholders’ rights.
