Cairo – Mubasher: The board of Eastern Co has approved the distribution of EGP 1.8 billion in cash dividends, or EGP 4 per share for fiscal year 2017/2018, according to statistics by Mubasher .
The Egyptian tobacco company is set to distribute EGP 185 million for employees and retain EGP 920.3 million for the next year, Eastern Co said in a filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).
Eastern Co last posted a 42.5% surge in net profits for FY17/18 to EGP 4.2 billion, compared to EGP 2.9 billion in FY16/17. The profit hike came on the back of higher revenues.
