EGX30 ends Tuesday above 11,000 pts

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday’s trading session on a positive note amid higher turnover on the back of Arab purchases.

The benchmark EGX30 index rose by 0.89%, ending the mid-week session at 11,040 points.

Similarly, the small and mid-cap EGX70 EWI climbed by 1.36% to 2,068 points, while the EGX100 EWI added 1.1% to 3,016 points.

In the meantime, the EGX50 EWI increased by 0.49% to close at 2,208 points.

The market cap value advanced by EGP 4.3 billion to register EGP 640.899 billion.

Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 78.79 million, while local and foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 35.36 million and EGP 43.42 million, respectively.

The market’s turnover stood at EGP 1.66 billion after 541.7 million shares were exchanged through around 48,170 transactions.
