Cairo – Mubasher: The indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Sunday’s trading session with varied note after the EGX30 main index retreated by 1.24% to close at 28,151.66 points.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI closed higher by 0.05% at 6,484.28 points.
On the other hand, the EGX100 EWI went down by 0.21% to 9,210.34 points.
EGX’s turnover amounted to EGP 2.92 billion after 661.70 million shares were traded, while the market cap value reached EGP 1.90 trillion.
As for trading on securities, the Egyptian traders were the net buyers with EGP 82.51 million. The Arab and foreign investors were the net sellers with EGP 74.38 million and EGP 8.13 million, respectively.
Meanwhile, the EGX will halt business during the Eid El-Fitr holiday from 9 to 14 April 2024 and will resume trading work n Monday, 15 April.
