EGX’s main index rises on Wednesday amid varied performance

Cairo – Mubasher: The indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) showed a mixed performance on Wednesday, with the EGX30 main index going up 0.01% to 27,937.22 points.

Meanwhile, the other two indices fell as the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI retreated by 0.52% to 6,366.89 points and the EGX100 EWI fell by 0.39% to 9,060.99 points.

A total of 399.19 million shares were exchanged at a value reaching EGP 2.19 billion.

In addition, the market cap value of EGX stood at EGP 1.87 trillion at the end of the session.

As for trading on securities, the Egyptian and foreign traders were net buyers with EGP 20.24 million and EGP 53.76 million, respectively.

Meanwhile, the Arab investors were the net sellers with EGP 74 million.
