EGX’s indices record collective decline on Thursday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Thursday’s trading session in a downward performance, with the EGX30 main index falling by 1.13% to 10,079.02 points.

The EGX50 EWI declined by 1.05% to 1,918.11 points.

Meanwhile, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI as well as EGX100 EWI indices closed lower by 0.17% to 2,267.95 points and by 0.49% to 3,223.36 points, respectively.

EGX’s turnover amounted to EGP 1.28 billion after 463.29 million shares were exchanged, while the market cap value totalled EGP 694.35 billion.

As for trading on securities, the Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 152.54 million and EGP 5.46 million, respectively. Meanwhile, the foreign traders were net sellers with EGP 158 million.
