EGX’s indices close Monday in red; turnover surpasses EGP 3bn

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange’s (EGX) indices declined on Monday, with the EGX30 main index shrank by 1.67% to close at 28,144.22 points.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI also dipped by 1.08% at 6,544.86 points.

Similarly, the EGX100 EWI decreased by 1.31% to 9,284.17 points.

The turnover reached EGP 3.02 billion after 764.48 million shares were traded.

Meanwhile, the market cap value totalled EGP 1.90 trillion at the end of the session.

As for trading on securities, the foreign and Arab traders were the net sellers with EGP 41.85 million and EGP 82,792 million, respectively.

On the other hand, the Egyptian investors were the net buyers with EGP 41.93 million.
