Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Wednesday’s trading session up on the back of Arab buying.
By 10:27 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index edged up 69.15 points, or 0.35%, to 17,871.63 points.
The EGX70 index inched up 0.07% to 864.9 points, and the EGX100 index added 0.11% to 2,267 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index went up 0.33% to 3,043 points.
Trading volume on stocks amounted to around 49.17 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 212.15 million through 3,400 transactions.
Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 26.4 million, while foreign and Egyptian investors were net sellers with EGP 25.7 million and EGP 677,600, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) levelled up 0.72% to EGP 88.5, with a turnover of EGP 3.4 million.
