Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened Thursday’s trading session on a mixed note.
By 10:26 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index edged up 0.34% to 16,006.87 points.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index dipped 0.12% to 778.67 points, while the broader EGX100 index inched up 0.01% to 1,997 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index levelled up 0.59% to 2,724 points.
Trading volume amounted to around 14.8 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 32.2 million through 1,030 transactions.
Egyptian investors were mostly buyers, netting EGP 2.4 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 262,120 and EGP 2.2 million, respectively.
