EGX indices rebound on Thursday; market cap hits over EGP 2bn

Cairo – Mubasher: The indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed in the green territory on Thursday, rebounding losses on Wednesday.

The benchmark index, EGX30, grew by 0.98% to 31,316.43 points.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI also increased by 1.84% to 6,884.72 points.

Similarly, the EGX100 EWI rose by 1.59% to 9,873.44 points.

EGX’s turnover stood at EGP 4.48 billion while the trading volume reached 497.37 million shares. In addition, the market cap hit EGP 2.06 trillion at the end of the session.

As for trading on securities, the Egyptian investors were the net buyers with EGP 108.23 million. Meanwhile, the Arab and foreign traders were the net sellers with EGP 53.71 million and EGP 54.51 million, respectively.
