EGX ends Wednesday in green on local, Arab buying

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Wednesday’s trading session in green territory amid Egyptian and Arab buying.

The benchmark EGX30 index jumped 1.02%, finishing the session at 15,578.73 points.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index edged up 0.14% to 755.22 points, and the broader EGX100 index levelled up 0.28% to 1,937.44 points.

The equal-weighted EGX50 index added 0.8% to 2,655.13 points.

Trading volume amounted to around 121 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 753.8 million through 17,300 transactions.

Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 39 million and EGP 10.7 million, respectively, while foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 49.7 million.
