Cairo – Mubasher: The indices of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday’s trading session on a mixed note.
The benchmark EGX30 index inched up 2.9 points, or 0.02%, finishing the session at 14,653.91 points.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index slipped 0.37% to 720.82 points, while the broader EGX100 index dipped 0.21% to 1,839.6 points.
Trading volume amounted to around 209.9 million shares exchanged through 24,800 transactions at a turnover of EGP 706.700 million.
Foreign investors were mostly sellers, netting EGP 67.3 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 62.6 million, and EGP 4.6 million, respectively.
The heavyweight commercial International Bank (CIB) tumbled 0.75% to EGP 81.75, with a turnover of EGP 73.19 million.
Market cap lost EGP 793 million and closed the session at EGP 814.9 billion.
