Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday’s trading session in green territory on the back of local and foreign buying.
The benchmark EGX30 index edged up 101.04 points, or 0.64%, finishing the session at 15,922.96 points.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index levelled up 0.35% to 753.8 points, while the broader EGX100 index added 0.42% to 1,950.23 points.
Market capitalisation gained EGP 3.7 billion and closed the session at EGP 878.8 billion.
Trading volume amounted to 215.4 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 800.4 million through 21,600 transactions.
Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 40.5 million, while Egyptian and foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 19.6 million and EGP 20.7 million, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) slipped 0.46% to EGP 86.13, with a turnover of EGP 79.4 million.
