EGX ends Tuesday in green on local, Arab purchases

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday’s trading session on a positive note on the back of Arab and local purchases.

The main EGX30 index increased by 0.48%, ending the mid-week session at 10,963 points.

Likewise, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI rose by 0.6% to 1,970 points, while the EGX100 EWI advanced by 0.59% to 2,857 points.

In the meantime, the EGX50 EWI went up by 0.49% to close at 2,043 points.

The market cap value grew by EGP 4.07 billion to register EGP 617.189 billion.

Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 44.6 million, while local and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 32.33 million and EGP 12.2 million, respectively.

The market’s turnover reached EGP 1.29 billion after 418.35 million shares were traded through around 49,300 transactions.
