Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Thursday’s trading session up on the back of foreign investors.
The benchmark EGX30 index jumped 159.98 points, or 1.08%, closing at 14,965.93 points.
The EGX70 index went up 0.81% to 852.2 points, while the EGX100 index added 0.38% to 2,032 points.
Trading volume reached about 289.2 million shares exchanged through 29,400 transactions at a turnover of EGP 1.3 billion.
Market capitalisation closed at EGP 863.7 billion and gained EGP 10.49 billion.
Egyptian investors were net sellers with EGP 67.5 million, while Arab and non-Arab traders were net buyers with EGP 47.4 million and EGP 20.1 million.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) rose 1% to EGP 75 at a turnover of EGP 89.3 million.
