EGX ends Sunday varied; market cap loses EGP 2.6bn

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Sunday's trading session on a mixed note amid local and Arab purchases and foreign selloffs. 

The main EGX30 index fell by 1.09% to end at 10,690 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI rose by 0.5% to 2,922 points. 

Meanwhile, the EGX100 EWI added 0.1% to 3,874 points, whereas the EGX50 EWI retreated by 0.52% to 2,390 points. 

The market cap value declined by EGP 2.6 billion to close at EGP 712.55 billion. 

Local and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 3.26 million and EGP 2.87 million, respectively, while foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 6.13 million. 

The market's turnover registered EGP 1.52 billion after 354.96 million shares were exchanged through around 47,430 transactions.
