Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Sunday’s trading session on a mixed note.
The benchmark EGX30 index has changed its upward direction and slipped 34.36 points, or 0.22%, finishing the session at 15,239.03 points.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) fell 2.16% to EGP 82.12, with a turnover of EGP 34.7 million.
The small- and mid-cap EGX70 index edged up 0.18% to 739.31 points, while the broader EGX100 index added 0.16% to 1,899.01 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index went up 0.31% to 2,519 points.
Trading volume amounted to around 211.45 million shares exchanged through 17,700 transactions at a turnover of EGP 449.9 million.
Foreign investors were mostly buyers, netting EGP 7.4 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 2.4 million and EGP 4.9 million, respectively.
