EGX ends Sunday mixed above 15,200 pts

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Sunday’s trading session mixed amid Arab and foreign buying against local selling.

The benchmark EGX30 index inched up 0.08%, or 12.37 points, to 15,254.85.

The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) fell 1.64% to EGP 78.63 at a turnover of EGP 16.8 million.

The EGX70 index slid 0.84% to 843.85 points, while the EGX100 index shed 0.38% to 1,008 points.

The equal-weighted EGX50 index added 0.72% to 2,692 points.

Trading volume reached about 376.55 million shares exchanged at a turnover of EGP 1.07 billion through 29,180 transactions.

Egyptian investors were net sellers with EGP 426.3 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 417.5 million and EGP 8.8 million respectively.

Market capitalisation closed at EGP 851.7 billion and gained EGP 4.6 billion.
